Super Clone Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer “Summer Blue”
Replica Omega marked the 15th anniversary of the Aqua Terra series by unveiling the Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer Master Chronometer. This limited edition of 87 pieces boasts a platinum case and a frosted dial adorned with a handcrafted map of the world in vitreous enamel. Subsequent versions were introduced in stainless steel, titanium, and Omega’s proprietary rose gold alloy, Sedna gold.
The newest variant of this model, which allows for instant reading of the time across 24 time zones, was launched last June as part of the Seamaster Summer Blue collection. This collection includes eleven new Seamaster timepieces in various shades of blue, celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Seamaster, first introduced in 1948 for the brand’s 100th anniversary.
Recently, we had the chance to explore the Super Clone Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer “Summer Blue” and are excited to share our observations and live photographs.
When handling this watch, your attention is immediately drawn to the center of the dial, featuring an image of the Earth as seen from above the North Pole. This effect is created by laser-ablating a Grade 5 titanium plate to depict the blue ocean, leaving a relief of the continents. The contrasting colors of the Earth’s surface result from the laser’s chemical reaction.
Surrounding the slightly domed topographic map is a 24-hour glass ring divided into night and day sections, with light blue for daytime and dark blue for nighttime.
This rotating ring works alongside the outer fixed circle that displays silvery-printed global destinations, including Bienne at GMT+1, Omega’s headquarters in Switzerland.
The rest of the dial features a sun-brushed finish in Omega’s Summer Blue, with a gradient effect, vertical teak stripes, and rhodium-plated hands and indices filled with unique light blue Super-LumiNova that glows blue in dark conditions.
The watch is encased in a 43 mm x 14.3 mm stainless steel case, highlighted by alternating brushed and polished surfaces.
The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protecting the dial is slightly domed and has an anti-reflective treatment on both sides.
The case can be matched with either a stainless steel bracelet with a butterfly clasp or a rubber strap integrated with the watch through a solid polished link and secured with a double folding clasp.
For our review, we used the version with a rubber strap. The lug width is 21 mm, while the lug-to-lug distance is 50.3 mm.
Despite its 43 mm diameter, the watch fits comfortably on the wrist, thanks to its curved lugs. The light-blue structured rubber strap with white stitching is not only stylish but also very comfortable. The wrist in our photos measures 18 cm / 7 inches.
